Intervention Order hearings in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Changes to court procedures mean that the practical process for applying for an Intervention Order may be different than has previously been the case.

The Magistrates’ Court remains open. If you are seeking to apply for an urgent Intervention Order you may telephone ahead to your local Magistrates’ Court to make an appointment to apply for an Intervention Order and request an urgent hearing of your matter.

If your Intervention Order hearing has been listed for a second or subsequent hearing in the Magistrates’ Court, your matter is adjourned to the nominal date of 15 June 2020. The hearing date of 15 June 2020 has been allocated to provide the Court time to make arrangements for listing your matter.

You will be contacted by the Court prior to 15 June 2020 to advise of your actual hearing date.

If you have concerns about your or your family’s safety please contact the Victoria Police.
