If you have filed a sole Application for Divorce and there is a child or children of the marriage, attendance is required at your hearing by telephone. Your lawyer will be contacted by the Courts to advise them of the details for making an appearance on your behalf at your Divorce Hearing.

If you have filed a joint Application for Divorce or there are no children of the marriage you are not required to attend Court either in person or by telephone. Your Divorce will be granted in your absence and a notification will be sent to you by the Court once your Divorce is granted.
