Recent projects

  • Acting for plaintiff companies in a complex Supreme Court of Qld proceeding involving claims and counterclaims arising out of a collapsed $60m Qld property transaction.
  • Acting for the Liquidators of the Octaviar Group in various matters, including a very complex ‘uncommercial transaction’ claim for in the order of $10m against JP Morgan in the Supreme Court of NSW.
  • Acting for an ASX listed company in a Supreme Court action to restrain a Top 4 Bank from paying out on a bank guarantee.
  • Successfully acting for various Qld farmers in a dispute with a Top 4 Bank involving nearly $20m in facilities, which dispute was resolved at mediation.
  • Acting for the Voluntary Administrators of Bloomer Constructions (Qld) Pty Ltd (Adrs Apptd) in an urgent Supreme Court of Queensland application to adjourn winding up applications brought against it, and assisting its ASX listed parent company in respect of its successful proposal for a DOCA in the Bloomer administration.
