The new Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) (WHS Act) and associated regulations are anticipated for proclamation in March 2022.

The new WHS Act will have three sets of regulations as of 1 January 2022:

• General
• Mining
• Petroleum and Geothermal

The enclosed PDF provides a high level overview of the WHS Act and various obligations arising under it.  This represents a significant departure from the existing WHS laws in WA.
