Dan Kirk

Dan has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, having worked for national and international firms both in Australia and in London.

Dan’s experience spans the industrial, property, financial services, energy and resources, and agribusiness sectors. He acts for a range of clients including start-ups, large private companies, ASX listed entities and not-for-profits. He has strong transactional experience in Australia and in China, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Dan is known as an agile and thoughtful lawyer, able to advise on transactions across the full value spectrum in a cost-effective way, and able to quickly grasp and add value to even the most complicated matters.

  • Advised Barrick Gold on the amalgamation of various of its subsidiaries through schemes of arrangement
  • Advised Perth Markets on the destapling of its corporate and unit trust structure, involving simultaneous scheme of arrangement and trust scheme
  • Advised BNK Banking Corporation on its merger with Finsure
  • Advised Scorpion Minerals on its 2020 share placement and its options to acquire Mt Mulcahy tenements
  • Advised Horseshoe Metals on its Mt Gunson joint venture, Glenloth acquisition and associated share placements, and on the successful defence of board spill resolutions
  • Advised Trigg Mining on its IPO on the ASX
  • Advised Neptune Marine on the disposal of its main undertaking to Mermaid Marine, and associated in-specie distribution to shareholders
  • Advised AHG on its two-phase disposals of interests in its Husqvarna and KTM motorcycle distribution operations, and associated interim shareholder arrangements
