Yanlie’s expertise includes:

  • Acting for landlords and tenants in drafting, reviewing and advising on leases, agreements for lease, options to lease, incentive deeds and other associated licences for commercial, industrial and retail properties and infrastructure facilities
  • Long term leasing of development sites on public sector land
  • Complex stratum and strata title restructuring including drafting of building management statements, by-laws, section 88B instruments, easements, restrictions and covenants
  • Legal due diligence including review of mining affectations and local planning policies
  • Foreign investment (interest in land) compliance and advice for offshore corporates and developers
  • Residential and mixed-use developments including site acquisitions, subdivisions and high-volume settlements
  • Major acquisitions across various states including hotels, resorts and industrial facilities.

  • The Ribbon Project, Sydney – Complex stratum and strata title restructuring on leasehold land and restructuring of building management operations
  • 4-star Hotel in Norwest Business Park – Acquisition of 50% interest in land and hotel business
  • Wind Farm Project in NSW with over 70 wind turbines – Acted for a Chinese state-owned renewable energy company in their options to lease with over 15 landowners and negotiations on TransGrid easements and environmental management plans
  • Glebe Island Multi-user Port Facility – Major agreements to lease for port infrastructure
  • Parq on Flinders, Wollongong – Land acquisition for a Malaysian based developer, subdivision and disposal of over 300 commercial and residential units split across 5 stratum lots
  • Big Four Head Office Leases – Lease transactions for Head Offices and other supporting offices across Australia for one of the Big Four global professional services firm
  • Compulsory land acquisition under Acquisition of Land Act 1967 (Qld) – Acted for a German listed entity involved in rail infrastructure manufacturing in a major compensation claim with the Qld Department of Transport and Main Roads and whole of site lease negotiations.
