Talia commenced her career in Sydney, New South Wales in 2013 before returning to Adelaide, South Australia in 2020. Talia is reguarly involved in both interstate and cross-jursidictional matters.

Recent Matters

  • Acted for a Respondent in an Arbitration which involved delay claims in the construction of a 62-wind turbine farm. The proceedings involved a subcontract under an EPC Contract.
  • Acted for a Respondent (the EPC Contractor) who had urgent proceedings commenced against it. The Applicant sought a mandatory injunction for the Respondent to deliver and maintain an irrevocable and unconditional bank guarantee. An Adjudication Determination had already been made in the Respondent’s favour and the Applicant sought to go around that decision and commenced urgent Supreme Court proceedings. The Respondent successfully defended the injunction and the Applicant’s application was dismissed.
  • Involved in proceedings in the Supreme Court of South Australia where an Applicant brought significant claims against a Respondent for monies paid regarding latent conditions.
  • Acted for a landlord who was in dispute with the neighbouring properties regarding the granting of an easement required for a significant land development.
  • Represented 36 individuals who purchased off-the plan properties in New South Wales where the vendor/developer attempted to rescind their contracts.
  • Regularly act for clients involved in various regulatory proceedings including Coronial Inquiries, ICAC Investigations and appeals against Ombudsman decisions.
  • Acted for the defendant in a Class Action commenced in the Supreme Court of New South Wales regarding one of the defendant’s self-propelling spray tractors.
  • Acted for a Respondent in proceedings commenced in the Supreme Court of South Australia regarding a historical sexual abuse case.
