Richard Cohen

Partner

Richard primarily advises Australian and international corporate occupiers across a range of projects including commercial/industrial leasing, sales and acquisitions and all aspects of property law.

With over 25 years’ experience in property matters, Richard primarily advises Australian and international corporate tenants and landlords across a range of commercial/industrial/retail leasing projects. He also advises on sales and acquisitions and all aspects of property law.

In acting for some of Australia’s largest corporate occupiers and landlords, he regularly advises on agreements for lease, licences, incentive arrangements, fitout arrangements and structuring of transactions. His development experience includes advising on sales and acquisitions and complex structuring of developments through partitioning and joint venture arrangements.

Richard is known for his responsiveness and for providing advice that is understandable and commercial.  He deals with matters as efficiently as possible by picking up the phone where practicable to get agreement on terms rather than the delays associated with multiple rounds of “mark-ups”.

Richard’s clients include tech companies, telecommunication companies, professional service firms, manufacturers and property developers.
