Julide represents landowners and property developers in NSW. Julide has also previously acted for government authorities and regularly appears as an advocate in the NSW Land and Environment Court and the Supreme Court of NSW.

Expertise

Julide’s expertise includes:

  • Advising and appearing in all classes of the Land and Environment Court, with a focus on Class 1 (merit appeals), Class 2 (tree applications), Class 3 (compensation claims and valuation objections) and Class 4 (civil enforcement and judicial review)
  • Advising and appearing in Supreme Court proceedings in relation to easements under section 88K of the Conveyancing Act 1919 (NSW)
  • Providing pre-DA and strategic planning advice
  • Preparing and negotiating deed granting easements.

Recent Matters

  • Represented one of Australia’s largest property developers in the Land and Environment Court and successfully obtained an approval in a contested hearing against the City of Parramatta Council for a 30-storey mixed use tower building in Epping NSW
  • Represented a landowner in the Land and Environment Court and successfully obtained development consent over an item of State heritage significance in Potts Point NSW
  • Represented a property developer in the Land and Environment Court and obtained an approval for alterations and additions to an existing residential flat building, a heritage item, in Rose Bay NSW (including approvals for subsequent modification applications over the same site)
  • Represented one of Australia’s largest privately owned bus operators in the Land and Environment Court and obtained an approval in a contested hearing against the Minister for Planning and Public spaces for a bus depot in Gosford NSW
  • Represented a landowner in the Land and Environment Court and obtained an approval in a contested hearing against Randwick City Council for a three-storey dwelling in Maroubra NSW.
