Jeremy has more than 20 years’ experience advising on a broad range of commercial and insolvency disputes, including regularly appearing in confidential mediations, arbitrations and dispute resolution procedures in addition to acting for clients in superior and appeal Courts.

Jeremy provides fresh and strategic approaches in a number of areas of practice and acts in litigation involving the Corporations Act, Competition and Consumer Act, contract disputes, insolvency, equity and trusts and mortgage recovery.

He has represented and advised numerous public companies including Telstra, GrainCorp, Bank of Queensland, Coca-Cola Amatil, and major private company clients including Optus. His private clients span a wide and diverse range of industries including finance and financial planning, aviation, logistics, motor, advertising, fashion, recruitment, security, construction, accounting and investment banking

  • Advising a national telecommunications provider with respect to a multi-million dollar contractual dispute with international telecom-infrastructure partners
  • Advising and appearing on behalf of the Bank of Queensland in proceedings under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) seeking novel relief where collateral of the grantor is located at premises held by a bankrupt estate, but rented to a third party
  • Representing a liquidator in contested proceedings before the Supreme Court of NSW against the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, concerning the interplay between the powers of a liquidator under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and the remedies available to the Commissioner under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (Cth)
  • Advising and appearing for a joint venture party in opposition to anti-suit injunctive proceedings brought in the Supreme Court of NSW, Expedition List, seeking to restraint proceedings in the Republic of Vanuatu.
