Leading national law firm Mills Oakley is pleased to announce the appointment of two highly experienced legal professionals, Tania Sibree and Randall Gerkens, to further enhance the firm’s capabilities in financial services and property.

Joining Mills Oakley from EY, Tania Sibree brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and Asia Pacific.

Tania’s primary focus is on funds management, particularly across a diverse range of asset classes, as well as prudential regulation and the implementation of prudential standards. Tania also has a specific interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and climate reporting, and has been instrumental in advising clients on new and emerging regulations particularly around digital assets and AML/CTF requirements.

Randall Gerkens brings a wealth of experience in commercial property transactions, commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure development and construction projects (as well as market leading expertise in innovative structuring and titling for residential and mixed-use projects) to Mills Oakley’s national property team. Randall comes to the firm from K&L Gates.

Widely regarded as a leader in his field, Randall has played a pivotal role in some of Australia’s largest commercial property deals. He has led major transactions including the largest commercial office lease pre-commitment/redevelopment and the largest one-line corporate real estate transaction in the country as well the development and divestment of one of Melbourne’s largest industrial/logistics development sites.

Both Tania and Randall are based in Mills Oakley’s Melbourne office.
