Mills Oakley is pleased to announce the appointment of three new partners, growing the partnership to 173 and further cementing the firm’s reputation as Australia’s leading national law firm.

The lateral hires include:

• Jason Salman (Restructuring & Insolvency) has over 27 years of international and national financial restructuring and insolvency experience. Jason has significant experience in complex financial restructurings, recapitalisations, pre-packaged restructurings and consensual workouts. He is known for his expertise in transactions involving debt-for-equity swaps, especially those implemented via creditor schemes of arrangement and acquisitions via Deeds of Company Arrangement. Jason joins the firm from Ashurst and will be based in Mills Oakley’s Perth office.
• Sarah Pick (Corporate – Energy, Resources & Infrastructure) is a specialist energy lawyer with a specific focus on electricity and renewables and has advised many major public and private entities in the energy industry on a range of complex regulatory and transactional matters. With significant experience across all aspects of the electricity supply chain Sarah has worked with retailers, generators, network service providers as well as large entities entering into electricity generation and purchase arrangements. Sarah joins the firm from MinterEllison and will be based in Mills Oakley’s Adelaide office.
• Yannis Vrodos (Corporate – Energy, Resources & Infrastructure) is a project development and procurement lawyer who advises ASX-listed, private and government clients on globally significant mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. He also has extensive experience in advising lenders; financers; government and government trading enterprises; and investors. Yannis advises on the extensive range of contractual documentation used in Australian and international projects, while also advising on general commercial contracting, outsourced services, and digital infrastructure development. Yannis joins from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and will be based in Mills Oakley’s Perth office.
