Lauree Blair is a Special Counsel in the Mills Oakley Melbourne office working in Financial Services. Lauree has particular expertise in financial services regulation and general corporate governance and regulation.
Lauree brings a wealth of experience from the high level advising she has done on a number of Australian financial services licensing and compliance issues, establishment and registration of managed investment schemes and transactions involving the appointment of trustees, fund managers and the replacement of responsible entities of managed investment schemes. This has included advice regarding the procedures to call meetings of members, implementing constitutional amendments to allow election into the AMIT regime and obtaining product rulings from the ATO where appropriate.
Recently, Lauree has acted for clients to deal with regulatory action taken by ASIC, advised on the replacement of responsible entities and provided advice in relation to general compliance obligations, risk management and the future of financial reforms.
