Chris Ketsakidis is a partner in our Melbourne office working predominantly in the area of financial services.

Chris advises a range of participants in the superannuation and financial services industry, including public offer superannuation funds, industry funds, corporate funds and pooled superannuation trusts, responsible entities and administrators.

Chris acts for trustees and other stakeholders in matters concerning fund transfers and mergers, member communications, investments, taxation, governing rules and fund documentation. He also advises trustees of worker entitlement funds, such as redundancy funds and portable leave funds, on prudential, commercial and taxation issues affecting them.

Chris was admitted to practice in 1993 and is a regular and sought after speaker at seminars and conferences.  He is a contributing author on superannuation to the Thompson ATP Australian Tax Handbook as well as the author of numerous articles published by professional journals on superannuation-related issues.

Chris is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, ASFA’s Member Engagement and Advice sub-committee and Legal Regulatory and Compliance sub-committees, AIST’s Governance Working Group and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Monash University.
