Andrew is a partner in our Canberra office working primarily in the area of ­­­­­­­workplace relations, employment and safety. He also undertakes a range of workplace investigations and reviews.

Andrew has provided high level strategic advice to, and litigated on behalf of, Commonwealth and State government departments and agencies and large private sector employers over a number of years. The matters he assists with include a range of workplace relations, employment and health and safety issues and disputes. This includes advising on reducing and managing workplace health and safety risks, unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, discrimination claims and workers’ compensation claims made under the Comcare system. He also works with a number of embassies, high commissions and consulates, including the Embassy of Italy, the Embassy of Spain and the High Commission of Singapore to assist with resolving employment law issues and disputes.

Andrew has extensive experience in conducting complex and sensitive workplace investigations. He has undertaken investigations for a number of Commonwealth and State government departments and agencies, including: the Australian Federal Police; the Department of Immigration and Border Protection; the ACT Health Directorate; the ACT Chief Minister; Treasury and Economic Development Directorate; the NSW Ministry of Health; Transport for NSW; and the Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria. Andrew is generally engaged to conduct investigations where the matter is complex, sensitive or otherwise requires a high level of expertise, experience and judgement to be exercised.
