John Mazzotta is a Partner, Joint Team Leader and an Accredited Family Law Specialist in Mills Oakley’s Family Law Team.

Experience 

John has over 14 years experience as a Family Lawyer advising clients in all aspects of Family Law including complex property claims both in Australia and overseas.
 
John joined Mills Oakley in 2008 to establish the family law practice at Mills Oakley after being a partner in a mid size city law firm where he specialised in family law.

John’s practice extends to giving advice and acting for clients in the following areas:

• Child related disputes including with whom a child should live, schooling issues, interstate and overseas relocations.
• Property settlements
• Divorce Applications
• Child Support
• Spousal maintenance
• Preparation of Financial Agreements for married, defacto and same sex couples.
• Injunctions and personal protection orders

 John has a strong interest in the area of dispute resolution and is a trained mediator and Collaborative Lawyer.  He adopts a commercial approach to resolving matrimonial and de facto disputes.

 John has written articles on topics such as Binding Financial Agreements for financial publications and also delivers seminars on Family Law topics to various professional groups including psychologists, accountants and financial advisors from whom he receives a substantial amount of referrals.
