Joel Dy is a Partner and is head of the Intellectual Property & Technology Team at Mills Oakley. Experience Joel is a Registered Trade Marks Attorney and has extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property with a particular interest in trade marks and brand management. He regularly advises clients on trade mark protection in Australia and overseas. Apart from his commercial experience, Joel has a strong litigation background, having acted for a number of manufacturing clients in defending and resolving IP rights and disputes through the Courts in various jurisdictions. Joel also has experience in technology, IT and commercialisation agreements. Expertise In particular, Joel has significant experience and expertise in: - Drafting and advising on various commercial agreements relating to all forms of intellectual property
- Conducting litigation in all jurisdictions dealing with intellectual property disputes such as copyright, trade marks, designs and patent infringements
- Advising on copyright, trade marks, designs, patents, moral rights, trade secrets, know-how and confidential information, with a strong focus on brand and product management issues
- Handling trade mark prosecution and opposition proceedings
