David Nolan heads Mills Oakley’s Sydney Corporate Advisory team.

Experience

David has over 12 years experience advising Australian and international companies and enterprises.  He has worked in Sydney and London and specialises in capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial law.

Expertise

David’s clients include small to mid-sized listed and unlisted companies, funds, banks, professional advisers and individuals.  He has advised listed and unlisted clients across a diverse range of industries including mining and resources, property, IT, health sciences, financial services, banking, retail and gaming.

David has expertise across the following areas:

• capital raisings (public and private);
• mergers and acquisitions;
• restructurings and takeovers;
• corporate finance;
• regulatory and corporate governance advice;
• financial services and funds management; and
• corporate and commercial law. 

Over the last 5 years David has advised on more than 25 IPOs and secondary raisings on the ASX and many more mergers and acquisitions (both public and private).

David is recognised for his proactive and commercial approach to complex transactions.  David works closely with his clients to understand their commercial and legal objectives in order to deliver optimum outcomes as efficiently as possible.   David has strong relationships within the advisory community in Australia and overseas and works closely with clients and advisers to provide practical and effective solutions.

Prior to joining Mills Oakley David was a principal at a boutique commercial firm in Sydney.  Prior to that role he was a senior adviser in the Equity and Capital Markets Group at the London Stock Exchange.

• Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Arts – Bond University
• David is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales
